Hi, my name is Amanda.

I like laughing, art, journalism, literature, theater, football, Disney, Bon Iver, Batman and Fight Club. I'm high strung. I manage/write for/edit for/bleed for my school's >>newspaper<< and do some other stuff too.

I’m going to wax poetic about our newspaper for a moment.
Yesterday, during our break in Asian American Theatre, I told my friends that I loved this newspaper more than I loved most people. And that’s completely true.
Because not only is this newspaper a publication that I’ve worked on in some capacity for the last three years, it also means family and home and discovery and learning and endlessly good, valuable experiences.
I mean, I’m at that point where when I pick up the new issue in print on Tuesdays, I can’t stop smiling. Even if there’s a typo on the front page or a blurry Inside Preview or the pages are different sizes for no discernible reason. And then when I see other people leafing through it, I smile some more. They may not think of the people behind the paper, but I do because I love those people so much. They may not think of the long hours that go into it, but I do because every second is worth it.
So yeah, I really love this fucking newspaper.
