I originally posted this version of Bon Iver’s “Beth/Rest” last September (2011) when it was first played at the Rare Book Room for XPN’s World Cafe. It’s now being officially released as the B-side to the fourth and final single from Bon Iver’s  self titled album. Also, since Justin Vernon has been saying that he’s not likely to return to the Bon Iver moniker anytime soon, this might be the last post on the band for a while, so I figured I’d repost with the correct cover art and let it play one last time because it’s my personal favorite track from the album, and I know a lot of you would argue that this stripped down version is better than the original album version. At any rate, the 12” single came out this past Tuesday and is available at Jagjaguwar. 

Beth/Rest is actually… probably my least favorite on the album, but this version is… wow.  So great.
